Sri Lanka might not be the most beautiful country that I have been to but without a doubt, it was the most special trip of my life so far. That is the kind of place Sri Lanka is, It is overwhelmingly beautiful yet very simple in its ways. It is that kind of place that inspires you, that gives you that rare peaceful joy that we are all looking for and hardly every find. It is a small island nation in the Indian Ocean with a rich and diverse landscape ranging from beautiful hills and invigorating rainforests to breathtaking sandy beaches. A lot of beautiful breathtaking Sandy beaches, far far away from the brassy ways of today’s life.
I agree that happiness is a state of mind, not a thing or a place, but Sri Lanka is the kind of place which makes that state of mind easily attainable. I went there with a cluttered mind and on a hill somewhere or near a waterfall, or along the shores of Sri Lanka I left all the clutter and all the noise behind and came back with a calm, inspired mind.
I even started this blog right after I came back from Sri Lanka so it was only fair that one day I wrote a post about it. I will be writing a series of posts about my trip to Sri Lanka because there is just too much to cover in one post, this post is just a sneak peek to the upcoming Sri Lanka Series.
Stay tuned, I hope you like the journey as much as I did.

Some journies are too beautiful to be left at the mercy of fading mortal memories, some journies demand to be documented, some memories must be immortalized.
Love,

It reminds me of Hawai’i. A paradise to make you ache for simplicity.

It looks like paradise. I would love to feature one of your photos on my Monday Mystery Photo posts. I post linkbacks to guest bloggers for the two weeks the photo is featured on the MMP post. I haven’t had a photo from Sri Lanka before, so if you choose to submit one, it will be the first

SL is a place I’ve long wanted to visit!
Many years ago, when South African Cricket first toured there, one of their star players would catch train rides and then tell the radio audience back home all about the things and placed he’s seen and experienced! That freedom of movement was soon halted for individual players but the vivid imagery Fanie de Villiers created caught my attention!
Of course I want to go see a bit of cricket when I’m there! 😉

Guess what i made my Wordspress account just a couple of minutes ago and this is the very first blog i read.
Im truely honoured to be a Sri Lankan.
P.S. it is very sad that our very own people do not understand the value of our country while you foreigners understand it very well.
Thanks a lot on behalf of every srilankan.😊

Oh dear…The pleasure is really all mine. People usually overlook the great things that they encounter every day… we all should make more of an effort to appreciate what we have.
Sri lanka was a vacation I would never forget…So many mommies attached to it those lovely beaches. All the best for your blog. 🙂
