It’s those who want to change the world
To their idea of better,
That are keeping it from becoming better.
Change will not come from a revolutionary leader
Who wants to make the world as he is.
Change will not come from
A place of power or influence.
It will come from the masses.
It will come from individuals,
Who are capable of love and forgiveness.
It will come from kindness
And awareness that no one is better or worse,
We are all doing our best
With what we have and who we are.
We all have battles to fight
And some light inside of us.
Change will unfurl when We each
let our light shine through
While letting other’s shine too,
No matter how different
Is the color of their light.
