I decided to travel to the endless seas,
I wanted to be everywhere there was to be
Before the time runs out.
One day I will end up in the ground
That’s when I will settle down.
I went from shore to shore and more
Sun was the same but everywhere a different sunrise,
I saw myself through a new set of eyes,
As if I was different under different skies,
Now I want to be all that I can possibly be
Before the time runs out.
One day I will end up in the ground,
That’s when I will settle down.
There is so much to see and so much to be,
I am not one thing, So how can I live in one place?
I am an explorer or at least that’s what I’d rather be
So if you love me don’t offer me a home,
Be my home and let me be yours.
Walls and doors are too confined,
I want to take you on journeys, come, fly with me
Before the time runs out.
One day we will end up in the ground,
That’s when we will settle down.

Wonderful! I just love this. That restless desire or compulsion to move and to see and to experience. Drinking it all in.

Thank you Anne…I feel like I constantly drown in that desire and resurface again only to drown again. Still trying to figure out how to swim. 🙂

I want to walk down a beach once again
I want to feel the ocean breeze
I want to smell the salt in the air
I want to feel the water on my feet and the wet sand between my toes
And most of all I want to feel the warm sun on my face
And do this with someone that wants to be with me.

Beautifully penned Niharoka. The heart of wanderer and that feeling of the wanderlust of seeking a home in another person.

And we know when we’re ready to settle down in one place. We know when the time is right. Or even when we’re just ready to settle down for a little while. I am settled where I live until my littlest graduates. Then I’m going back to Ohio and they can follow if they want but I’m going!!!

The point is knowing that you have the right to choose what will make you happy, even if it’s not the popular choice.

It’s always hard to describe exactly what you experience when traveling. I love that you put it into a poem ❤
