You Are Who You Want To Be

Greatness simmers in my blood and then goes away. There are moments of clarity when I see things clearly and then everything becomes out of focus, messy. There are flashes of profound awareness and then vague cluelessness returns. An uncontrolable drive, a passion flickers and then dissapears.

Sacredness Of The Simple Pleasures

Noises of life have replaced the sounds of the night, the ticking of watch and swishing of the wind drowned out by the cars passing by, their honking, people talking, someone’s playing music, dogs barking, and that sound of construction. It’s an up and coming area, if you listen carefully during any time of the day, you can hear the sound of ongoing construction.

And So It Starts

And so it starts, a brand new year. Life goes on and day after day as nothing much changes, everything is different in a few years. It’s like watching the sun and while we never really see it move it changes position right in front of our eyes.

Being Good In A Funny World

Christmas is around the corner and Santa is making his good and bad list. I wonder how does he do that. I wonder how does he define good or bad. As a kid, I used to believe that being good means being kind and not hurting anyone mentally or physically. Then I grew up and had my things stolen, trust broken and ass grabbed by strangers and Continue reading “Being Good In A Funny World”

Living In The Limbo

Can you imagine that moment of a coin toss before a big match when the coin is still in the air and everyone is holding their breath? That moment is my life. I often feel like a coin tossed in the air in slow motion, waiting for what seems like an eternity to drop either over my heads or tails and finally know my fate and then I can go on living my life.

When Traveling To North Sikkim

Mountains are mountains everywhere you go and oceans are oceans on every beach, why is it then that we travel to far off lands to see more mountains, more oceans, more trees, and more waterfalls? In all my travels I have realized that although the pictures of all snow-capped peaks or soaring seas look alike, every place has a different vibe, a different tune in its noises, a different story to tell and a different flavor to itself; and one has to be there in that air to hear that tune or taste that flavor, for it cannot be documented or recreated. It is as if every place has a soul and we can learn all the facts about a place through research but we can’t get to know it until we come face to face.

Sushiology! Study Of Sushi.

No poetry today. Today we will talk about the best Japanese invention ever, Sushi!!! I am no Sushi expert but I am a Susi lover. Susi is on my list of foods that I call Day Changers, the kind of food that has the power to change a bad day into a good one. I mean after a long day of stubbing my toe, dropping my things, falling on my face, getting late everywhere, pointless arguments with cab drivers and cancellations of long-awaited plans, I could go to a good sushi place for dinner and come back home a happy woman. Day Changer! 🙂

Today I woke up and decided to educate my self about Sushi as thoroughly as possible. I can’t tell why I have no Sushi plans in near future but what I can tell you is everything you need to know about Sushi. Continue reading “Sushiology! Study Of Sushi.”

Recipe For Your 1st Book

So, I have decided to write a book! It wouldn’t exactly be my first because I have written one before but it was a birthday present for someone who has been a huge inspiration. I got only two copies of it made, let’s just say all the copies were booked even before the book was launched and it was very well received by its target audience.  😉

Now I have decided to write my 1st book for the world, and I am really excited and also scared about it. This post is as much for me as it is for anyone who has been thinking about writing a book. Please know that I am a novice, and this post is based on very little experience and a lot of research. Feel free to correct me or leave me more tips on writing a book. I would really appreciate it! Continue reading “Recipe For Your 1st Book”
