A New Story

couple-holding-hands-romantic-black-and-white-wedding-photo-by-jason-and-gina

My hands were trembling as they trembled

The night you kissed me for the first time

My heart was thumping just like it did then.

I counted my steps, one, two, three, four

I counted the steps it took to reach where

You were sanding and when I reached there

I knew you were counting my steps too

I knew for I could hear your heart thump Continue reading “A New Story”

Raining With The Rain

rain-n-love-ifp3

It was raining with the rain, the grey clouds of pain,

Running down the hills with the streams of muddy water.

As they got drenched and shivered from the cold

They felt it wash away, the dust that settled over them over time. Continue reading “Raining With The Rain”

Unspoken Promise

4243c7e2604c2e73f92fb4d3dbcd623d--kiss-me-the-kiss

I fall on the ground like a glass

That you dropped from your hands,

With a percussive sound like the grand end of a song

I shatter Into cold sharp pieces,

My feelings swirl and spill all over the floor Continue reading “Unspoken Promise”

Empty Words

817d5ffd416b788b6a9a343fef94d0a4

It becomes difficult to follow
When you walk in one direction
But point in another.
Words start to feel empty
When you say them again and again
But the things you do say something else.
Who doesn’t want to expect good things
But when good things lead to bad things
You stop believing one day.

A Snowy Day

Little pieces of clouds
Falling from the sky
Covering all I see In a
white blanket of snow.

As I see from the window
The valley turns white
Like a blank canvas,
The world a blank page.

A Shot At The Sky

You might be right,
I might be taking a foolish risk.
I might be wrong to think I can win
In a game, many have lost their sanity in.
But some did win, didn’t they?
A very few, I Know, and I seem nothing like
I was born to be amongst a special few
But how will we know if I don’t even try,
If you don’t jump you will never fly.
All I ask is don’t deny me the right to try,
All I want is a shot at it,
A shot at the sky.

My Vow To You

I am too old
To wish for miracles
But that’s ok
I am old enough to
Not need them anymore too.
I know this now
No prince charming comes
No fairy godmother appears,
What you get is
Flawed human beings
Continue reading “My Vow To You”

“Nothing” She Said

sad-wallpaper-of-lonely-girl-768x432

She tried to stay very still
She didn’t want to wake him up
But he did, as he felt his chest get wet.
He held her face up knowing what he would see,
Fat tears rolling down her already moist cheeks.
Her eyes looking down trying to hide the pain
For the pain makes one look weak they say
Continue reading ““Nothing” She Said”

The Shell

enhanced-buzz-wide-21120-1422878193-7

He was like ice

But today he was melting

His sharp edges becoming soft

His frozen walls coming down

One drop at a time
