Empty Words

It becomes difficult to follow
When you walk in one direction
But point in another.
Words start to feel empty
When you say them again and again
But the things you do say something else.
Who doesn’t want to expect good things
But when good things lead to bad things
You stop believing one day.

A Shot At The Sky

You might be right,
I might be taking a foolish risk.
I might be wrong to think I can win
In a game, many have lost their sanity in.
But some did win, didn’t they?
A very few, I Know, and I seem nothing like
I was born to be amongst a special few
But how will we know if I don’t even try,
If you don’t jump you will never fly.
All I ask is don’t deny me the right to try,
All I want is a shot at it,
A shot at the sky.
